A shocking incident unfolded in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman attacked her husband during a dispute. Amit Sonkar was allegedly assaulted by his wife, Sarika, who, during the altercation, bit off his right ear. The victim reported that his wife’s intentions were to separate from him after securing financial stability and a home. Sonkar stated he was sleeping when his wife began the assault. The couple, married eight years ago in a love marriage, is now in the process of divorce proceedings, which are currently pending in court. In a separate event, a man was reportedly murdered by a woman’s family in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday night, suspected to be related to a love affair. Police reported that the girl’s brothers lured the victim to their home under the pretense of a wedding, where the incident took place near JT Chowki in Sahadatganj police station area. The deceased’s brother has a criminal record and is currently in jail. Following the incident, police forces from multiple stations were deployed to prevent any further unrest, and security was heightened around the residences of both families.
