In a move that has intensified talks of Bihar’s cabinet expansion, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary jetted into New Delhi on Sunday for high-level consultations with BJP brass and NDA allies.
His first notable engagement was with Vinod Tawde, BJP’s national general secretary overseeing Bihar affairs. Choudhary posted on X about this ‘courtesy visit,’ signaling the warmth and strategic alignment within the party.
The day unfolded with back-to-back meetings. With Union MoS Home Nityanand Rai, the duo brainstormed on realizing a ‘Viksit Bharat’ through a thriving Bihar, sharing visuals of their productive dialogue online.
Choudhary then connected with JD(U)’s Lalan Singh, a central minister, to dissect developmental challenges and chart a coordinated path forward for Bihar’s progress. A meeting with Jitan Ram Manjhi was framed as a polite exchange.
Earlier, he had audiences with heavyweights like Rajnath Singh and Ashwini Vaishnaw. Insiders whisper of upcoming huddles with Amit Shah and JP Nadda, potentially sealing the deal on new ministers.
Since assuming office on April 15 as BJP’s pioneering CM in Bihar—flanked by deputies Vijay Sinha and Bijendra Yadav—Choudhary’s Delhi diplomacy aims to fortify the NDA government’s foundation ahead of expansion, promising momentum in state development.
