A three-day All India Coordination Meeting, involving senior officials from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its affiliated organizations, commenced in Jodhpur on Friday. The meeting focuses on several key issues, including the RSS centenary year celebrations, the concept of ‘Panch Parivartan’ (Five Transformations), the New Education Policy, development in tribal areas, and population imbalance.
The coordination meeting began with a collective recitation of the organization’s mantra. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale paid floral tributes before a portrait of Bharat Mata in the first session. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also attended the meeting in the evening, meeting with senior officials present. He stayed for a while before departing for Jaipur.
The meeting sees the participation of approximately 320 key officials from 32 organizations inspired by the RSS. Discussions during the three-day event (September 5-7) will encompass the year’s activities and shared experiences. The agenda includes the Panch Parivartan (social harmony, environmentally friendly living, family awareness, self-based creation, and civic duty), programs for the RSS centenary year, and the efforts related to the National Education Policy 2020.
On the first day, affiliated organizations shared their new initiatives in their respective fields. Discussions were also held to establish coordination among different organizations.
The event venue is specially decorated, with elaborate decorations at the entrances. The Rani Abbakka gate, which highlights the contributions of Indian women who fought against colonial forces and Mughal rulers 500 years ago, has been constructed. The Haldighati gate has also been prepared. The auditorium complex is adorned with rangolis of Meera Bai and Amrita Devi, who sacrificed their lives for environmental protection.
During this coordination meeting, in addition to sharing the works and experiences of the year, detailed discussions are taking place to promote the core agendas of the RSS, such as Panch Parivartan, social harmony, family awareness, environment-friendly living, self-based creation, and civic duty. A review of the programs for the RSS centenary year and the implementation efforts of the National Education Policy 2020 will also be undertaken.
Before the meeting began, the chief operator of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Shanta Akka, said that different organizations of the RSS are playing their respective roles in nation-building, and discussions will be held on the same.
Compared to other previous meetings organized by the RSS, the presence of leaders from the Rajasthan unit of the BJP appears to be more frequent this time. Two days before the meeting, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje met with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for 25 minutes. On the day the meeting began, BJP Rajasthan state president Madan Rathore also visited, staying for about 3 hours.
After Rathore, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma arrived in the evening. CM Bhajan Lal stayed at the RSS coordination meeting venue for more than two and a half hours. However, sources say that there was no meeting between the Chief Minister and the state president with RSS chief Bhagwat; they merely attended the meeting venue as a formality.
When asked by Sunil Ambekar, the publicity head of the RSS, whether there would be any discussion about the BJP president at the RSS meeting, he clearly stated that they are capable and make their own decisions.
In addition to the Sarsanghchalak and Sarkaryawah, all six Sahsarkaryawahs were also present at the meeting. Along with them, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, party’s organization minister BL Santosh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Alok Kumar and organization minister Milind Parande, Rashtra Sevika Samiti’s chief operator Shanta Akka and Karyavahika A. Sita Gayatri were also present. In addition, prominent personalities such as Rajsharan Shahi, President of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and organization minister Ashish Chauhan, Dayal Singh Pawar, President of Saksham and organization minister Chandrashekhar, Lieutenant General Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi, President of the Ex-Servicemen Service Council, Satyendra Singh, President of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, organization minister Atul Jog, and convenor of Seema Jagran Manch Muralidhar were also present.
