In a rallying cry from Rupnagar, Punjab, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday exhorted the state’s OBC community to harness their unity and bring the BJP to the helm of power. ‘Your collective power can make it happen,’ he declared to an enthusiastic crowd, underscoring BJP’s vision of equal opportunity for all.
Saini slammed AAP’s governance, particularly the Punjab Assembly’s special session on Labour Day, calling it an insult to toiling workers and emblematic of a mindset hostile to the poor. Punjab’s people, he observed, are increasingly frustrated with AAP’s unkept promises despite their overwhelming support in the last polls.
Referencing the confidence vote, Saini challenged CM Bhagwant Mann to account for promise fulfillment. The vibrant OBC participation at the event, he said, marks a turning point – a community rising in awareness, unity, and resolve for social and political change.
Drawing on OBC’s proud legacy in India’s growth, Saini decried decades of neglect in Punjab. Contrastingly, Modi’s era has institutionalized social justice. ‘Our PM, from OBC roots, has mainstreamed the marginalized,’ he noted.
BJP’s track record speaks volumes: leadership positions for OBCs, 27 in the central ministry, OBC CMs in five states. Constitutional status for OBC Commission and 27% quotas in education and health sectors are game-changers for the youth.
Saini beseeched OBCs to enlist in BJP ranks, fortify it from the ground up, and mobilize for elections. He lambasted Punjab’s administration for OBC discrimination, insisting collective action is essential to claim what’s rightfully theirs.
