In a pointed attack amid rising tensions, Union Minister Chirag Paswan labeled opposition protests over Pappu Yadav’s arrest as nothing but a political stunt.
During a media interaction in Patna, Paswan recalled how opposition parties, including RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, plotted to unseat the independent MP in recent elections. ‘They openly told voters to support NDA against him. Today, they’re shedding crocodile tears,’ Paswan remarked, exposing what he called blatant hypocrisy.
Responding to Tejashwi’s accusations, Paswan advised introspection. ‘Accusing others won’t help if you avoid parliamentary duties or jet off overseas. True opposition means accountability, not vendettas.’
Shifting to the NEET student’s suicide, Paswan emphasized governmental resolve. ‘Emotions are valid, but facts show our proactive measures: SIT investigations and CBI involvement guarantee severe penalties for the guilty, safeguarding the future.’
This exchange highlights Bihar’s volatile political landscape, where past rivalries resurface dramatically. With Pappu Yadav’s case unfolding, Paswan’s critique challenges the opposition’s credibility ahead of key battles.
