Noida Officials Seize Mislabelled Cream in Summer Food Raid

As the summer heat pushes demand for chilled treats, Gautam Buddh Nagar food safety teams carried out surprise checks at ice-cream plants and dairy processors on Thursday. Eight products ranging from kulfi to flavoured shakes were collected for laboratory testing. During the sweep at a Sector-64 unit, authorities discovered that Red Velvet cream lacked mandatory nutritional details on its label. Twenty-five tins were seized on the spot. Other inspections covered factories in Surajpur, Sector-73 and Greater Noida West, where ice-candy, plain ice-cream, milk and cream samples were drawn. Assistant Commissioner Sarvesh Mishra said the drive targets adulteration risks that rise with seasonal demand. Samples are now at the lab; further steps under food safety law will follow once reports are received. Parallel checks for halal-certified goods yielded no violations.
