In a powerful address at the inaugural session of the All India Seminar on Green Building Techniques and the Indian Building Congress’s 113th Governing Council meeting, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav called for embracing nature-friendly architecture as the foundation of Vastu Shastra. Speaking in Bhopal on Saturday, he warned of the environmental crisis posed by urban sprawl and resource depletion, positioning sustainable construction as an urgent imperative.

‘Our ancestors crafted ecological masterpieces like Bhopal under Raja Bhoj, integrating water management and urban planning seamlessly,’ Yadav noted, pride evident in his voice. He hailed the ongoing national seminar on ‘Sustainable Future Innovations in Green Building Practices’ as fortuitous, suggesting similar events at historical sites like Mandav for its exemplary water systems.

The ceremony at Kushabhau Thakre Sabhagrah began with diya prajjalan by the CM, organized jointly by PWD and IBC. Minister Rakesh Singh honored him traditionally. Cultural elements included the national song and project documentaries.

Key releases included PWD publications and IBC’s magazine, alongside MoUs with IIT Indore for tech collaboration and GRIHA for eco-certification—both signed under Yadav’s watchful eye.

Delving into heritage, Yadav evoked Bhoj’s treatises stressing natural synergy. He linked Vedic philosophy to modern green homes balancing panchamahabhutas. Fascinatingly, he revealed Dongla near Ujjain as Earth’s true geographic core per ancient calculations, still influencing weather patterns today—outpacing GPS in historical accuracy.

From Shringeri’s temples to Bhopal’s lakes and Ujjain’s riverfronts, Yadav showcased Vastu’s timeless relevance. Echoing PM Modi’s vision, he advocated science-infused tradition. Amid global warming alarms, MP prioritizes eco-builds with optimal spending.

The Jal Ganga campaign, started on Gudhi Padwa, mobilizes citizens for water body revivals by May 25, building on MP’s top national rank in conservation—Dindori first, Khandwa second.

Minister Singh praised Yadav’s innovations, from Vedic clocks to statewide green mandates, highway rainwater systems, and training. Urging affordable tech for masses, he foresaw MP leading green revolutions, fulfilling ‘construction for public welfare.’

Experts like SR Baghel affirmed green shifts, while Devanath outlined agenda on materials, efficiency, ventilation, AI maintenance, and prefab. Goyal touted Bhopal’s dynamism for Viksit Bharat.
