The Bharatiya Janata Party in Jharkhand welcomed its newly elected president, Aditya Sahu, who took oath on Friday amid chants and celebrations at the state office. Kicking off with Saraswati worship on Vasant Panchami, the event set a spiritual tone for his tenure.
In his maiden speech, Sahu called Jharkhand a promising turf for BJP’s expansion. He vowed relentless efforts to install a robust ‘double-engine’ administration, crediting the party’s vibrant cadre for its successes. ‘Our workers’ energy is unmatched,’ he affirmed.
Detailing his roadmap, Sahu stressed fortifying the organizational structure and ensuring BJP’s principles reach remote corners. Reflecting on his journey from booth worker to president, he hailed it as a testament to internal democracy.
On Netaji’s jayanti, Sahu invoked the freedom fighter’s legacy in Jharkhand’s soil, urging a renewed struggle for the state’s glory. Babulal Marandi lauded Sahu’s proven track record, predicting smooth sailing without external mentoring.
Marandi advocated decoupling party chief and legislature party leader duties for sharper focus. With elections looming, Sahu’s leadership injects fresh momentum into Jharkhand BJP’s campaign for good governance and development.
