In a display of pomp and protocol, South Korea’s President Lee Jae-myung and his wife Kim Hye-kyung were formally received at India’s Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. Jaishankar took to X to convey his delight, praising Lee’s dedication to expanding India-Korea collaboration in diverse fields and expressing confidence in fruitful PM-level dialogues.

Echoing the positivity, President Lee posted a video on X, marveling at India’s demographic and economic dynamism. He envisioned symbiotic growth opportunities, free from pressure, and advocated joint efforts toward a peaceful, democratic future. ‘I hope everything goes smoothly,’ he added with optimism.

Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal hailed the tour as a key milestone, noting it as Lee’s inaugural state visit to India. With agendas covering defense, semiconductors, green energy, and people-to-people links, this engagement promises to elevate the partnership. As New Delhi hosts Seoul’s leader, the world watches for announcements that could reshape regional dynamics.
