With fuel prices continuing to climb, the Indian National Lok Dal has drawn a firm line in the sand. Party veteran Sampat Singh announced that if petrol, diesel and LPG rates are not reduced by 31 May, INLD activists will launch district-wide protests across Haryana from 1 June. Singh described the current price spiral as unsustainable for middle-class families already reeling from everyday inflation. He claimed governments routinely dangle promises of relief during election season only to reverse course once polling ends. Particular concern was voiced over commercial gas cylinders, whose steep increases are hurting small businesses and the hospitality sector. Singh stressed that the impact reaches far beyond pump prices, directly inflating restaurant bills and household expenses alike. The leader concluded that the party will mobilise large crowds if its demands remain unmet, promising peaceful yet powerful demonstrations that reflect widespread public frustration with policies that shield corporate profits while burdening ordinary citizens.
