Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde has sounded the alarm on the proliferating problem of stray bulls wandering Rajasthan’s roads, calling for collaborative action from all stakeholders. During a significant religious event in Bhiwadi, he outlined government initiatives and community roles in curbing this urban hazard.

Pointing to the risks of accidents and disruptions caused by these homeless animals, Bagde advocated for enhanced goshala facilities and public contributions of feed. The state, he revealed, is executing targeted campaigns to shelter these bulls humanely.

He drew attention to a farmer incentive scheme providing Rs 30,000 yearly to maintain bulls for farming, aiming to reduce abandonment and revive traditional practices.

The context was his Thursday visit to Bijorwas village’s Baba Bishah temple premises for the Shiva temple’s consecration. Bagde performed age-old rituals, invoking blessings for the state’s happiness and progress.

In his speech, he portrayed Shiva as the destroyer of ignorance, urging the younger generation to anchor themselves in cultural roots. ‘Embracing heritage alongside progress builds character and national strength,’ he asserted.

Bagde called for school curricula that blend academics with moral and cultural education, ensuring youth remain connected to their legacy in a fast-evolving world.

By linking spiritual wisdom with real-world challenges like stray animal management, the Governor’s message resonates as a call for balanced development in Rajasthan, where tradition meets modernity.
