Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made a significant announcement during Chandrashekhar Azad’s 95th martyrdom day celebrations in Alirajpur: a Rs 5 crore ‘Azad Park’ will be developed at the revolutionary’s birthplace in Bhabra, now known as Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar.
At the grand Azad Memorial event, Yadav shared his emotions, calling the visit to Azad’s janmabhoomi a profound source of pride. The park project aims to preserve and promote the fearless icon’s memory for future generations.
Drawing parallels to modern leadership, the CM urged everyone to emulate Azad’s steadfast commitment to freedom. He vividly narrated the iconic courtroom episode where the 14-year-old Azad proclaimed his identity tied to the nation’s liberty, showcasing revolutionary daring.
Turning to Alirajpur’s tribal-dominated landscape, Yadav celebrated its legacy of heroism and self-respect. He detailed government initiatives designed not just to launch schemes but to transform lives, providing respect and protection to the most vulnerable.
Praising PM Modi’s vision, Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s developmental surge. The state views every poor person’s life as priceless, exemplified by readiness to deploy helicopters for medical emergencies. In a pointed attack on Congress governments, he accused them of perpetuating darkness, while BJP has illuminated villages with progress.
The event saw CM Yadav delivering development gifts exceeding Rs 171 crore, including inaugurations of 14 projects, groundbreakings for 35 others, and recognition for self-help group women, marking a new chapter of empowerment in the region.
