Aadhaar is the primary means for robust digital governance. It not only enables access to various government schemes for the public but also ensures the correct identification of eligible beneficiaries. Development Commissioner Dr. S. Siddharth stated this while addressing a one-day workshop on Aadhaar Verification and Robust Digital Good Governance organized by the Information Technology Department of the Bihar government in Patna.
Dr. Siddharth highlighted that Aadhaar verification led to the identification and cancellation of numerous fraudulent ration cards in Bihar. The issue of Aadhaar cards is linked to various government departments. He noted that an individual possesses multiple cards and numbers associated with them, such as Aadhaar, voter ID, PAN, and bank accounts, leading to challenges in accurately identifying the correct individual.
