Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took a bold stride towards youth empowerment by inaugurating the foundation of a multi-sport stadium in Sangrur. Valued at Rs 14.63 crore and covering 4.38 acres, the venue in Satauj is set to become a hub for elite training and competitions.

Equipped with a 200-meter track, spectator pavilion, and indoor hall, it will support badminton, handball, judo, netball, basketball, and more. Mann positioned sports as a direct antidote to narcotics, urging investments in infrastructure to guide the younger generation away from vices.

‘A child with access to top schools and sports fields can bring glory to their village, state, and country,’ Mann remarked during the ceremony, calling it a landmark moment for Sangrur. The government’s push for superior facilities in education and sports reflects a prideful strategy to nurture talent.

By redirecting boundless youth energy positively, this stadium will not only elevate athletic standards but also contribute to a drug-free society. Officials and community leaders praised the move as a cornerstone for sustainable regional growth, promising ripple effects across Punjab’s development agenda.
