Equipped with a 200-meter track, spectator pavilion, and indoor hall, it will support badminton, handball, judo, netball, basketball, and more. Mann positioned sports as a direct antidote to narcotics, urging investments in infrastructure to guide the younger generation away from vices.
‘A child with access to top schools and sports fields can bring glory to their village, state, and country,’ Mann remarked during the ceremony, calling it a landmark moment for Sangrur. The government’s push for superior facilities in education and sports reflects a prideful strategy to nurture talent.
