Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia lit the ceremonial lamp to launch the Adani Development Center in Badrawas, Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, marking a milestone in women’s economic empowerment. The 48,000 sq ft facility boasts 600 advanced sewing machines, functioning dually as a skill training and manufacturing unit.
Under the Adani Foundation’s ambitious Swabhiman initiative, which targets 10 lakh women nationwide, this center will train and employ approximately 1,500 local women upon full capacity. It equips them with employable skills in organized sectors, bridging the gap between village-level expertise and international demand.
In his address, Scindia lauded Gautam Adani’s role in creating platforms that propel local skills to global stages. ‘The resolve in our sisters’ eyes is evident; their dreams are turning into reality through meaningful livelihoods,’ he noted. He envisioned the center’s outputs gaining national and global recognition in the coming half-decade.
Beyond job creation, the project tackles rural distress by boosting family earnings, minimizing informal work reliance, and stemming urban migration. This women-centric model strengthens community economies, paving the way for enduring financial autonomy and societal progress in Madhya Pradesh’s heartland.
