Man Kills Woman with Axe After Asking for Water in Jharkhand, Injures Others

A shocking incident has occurred in Gumla, Jharkhand, where a man brutally murdered a woman and injured three others. The assailant, identified as Baliram Khadia, entered the home of Anil Khadia in Kamaltoli village under the pretense of asking for water. When the homeowner’s wife, Reena Devi, went inside to fetch water, Khadia attacked her with a sharp weapon, killing her instantly. He then proceeded to attack two other women and a four-year-old child in the village before jumping into a well in an apparent suicide attempt. Police have arrested Khadia, who is reportedly mentally unstable, and are investigating the incident, including potential links to superstition.
