Netanyahu Compares Palestinian State Near Jerusalem to Al-Qaeda Threat After October 7 Attacks

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Netanyahu stated that establishing a Palestinian state near Jerusalem following the October 7 attacks would be akin to allowing Al-Qaeda to operate near New York City after the September 11 attacks. He characterized such a move as “sheer madness” and declared that it would not be pursued.
