In a gesture of gratitude and jubilation over BJP’s historic sweep in West Bengal, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the revered Kali Temple in CR Park alongside party president Nitin Naveen on Tuesday. The rituals underscored the party’s resounding mandate from the eastern state.
Emerging from the temple, Gupta characterized the Bengal verdict as a game-changer for national politics. Under PM Narendra Modi’s stewardship, she noted, the BJP’s influence now spans the sacred Ganga from its source to the sea. This outcome, she argued, signals the electorate’s deepening trust in a development-centric, nationalist agenda.
Turning her attention to critics, Gupta lambasted opposition parties for opposing the women empowerment bill in Parliament. Bengal’s female voters, she pointed out, have delivered a stinging rebuke. ‘Mothers and sisters of Bengal have voted to reject fear, violence, and appeasement,’ she stated firmly.
Gupta lauded their bold stance against suppression, affirming their commitment to personal honor and rights. The victory validates the Modi government’s initiatives for women’s security and upliftment, she added.
Even amid threats, these women cast their ballots courageously, bolstering democratic values and supporting accountable administration. Paying tribute to BJP karyakartas, Gupta said their dedication has borne fruit.
This success reaffirms democracy’s vitality, with Bengal’s defiance against terror tactics inspiring the entire country. The gathering also included prominent figures like Delhi BJP head Virender Sachdeva, Bansuri Swaraj, and Shikha Rai.
