End of 15-Year Terror: Ranchi Police Nab Notorious TSPC Leader

Ranchi Police have achieved a significant breakthrough in their ongoing campaign against organized insurgency with the arrest of TSPC sub-zonal commander Arvind. For more than a decade and a half, Arvind had been a primary source of dread for the business community in Jharkhand, specifically targeting brick kiln owners and coal traders for ‘levy’ or extortion payments. The operation, overseen by Rural SP Gaurav Goswami, was initiated after receiving confidential tips regarding the commander’s movements in Latehar district. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to his involvement in several high-profile crimes, including a recent firing incident at a brick kiln in the Budhmu police station area. This arrest serves as a stern warning to extremist groups attempting to destabilize the economic activities of the region.
