Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has exciting news for India’s textile enthusiasts: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually unveil the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park (KMTP) in Warangal on May 10, 2026. This announcement, shared on social media platform X, highlights a game-changer for the nation’s apparel and textile landscape.

As one of India’s largest textile parks at 1,327 acres, KMTP is being built under the PM MITRA (Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) initiative. It embodies the 5F strategy—from farm fibers to international fashion exports—driving manufacturing prowess and economic growth.

With a ₹1,695.54 crore project outlay, investments have surged past ₹3,800 crore, eyeing ₹6,000 crore total. Infrastructure milestones include near-completion of internal roads, water systems, and lighting. High-voltage power substations are wrapping up, alongside a robust 12 MLD water network.

Eco-conscious development shines through with the CETP’s first phase trialing zero-liquid discharge operations. Already, 62% land is with anchor tenants, and 2,000 jobs are active, with projections soaring to 24,400 upon commissioning.

This strategic hub offers seamless plug-and-play amenities, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for textiles. Local economies will thrive as employment opportunities multiply, reinforcing India’s global competitiveness.

Under PM Modi’s vision, such projects are fortifying the country’s industrial backbone, ensuring the textile sector accelerates towards unprecedented heights.
