Seasonal relief comes through free LPG cylinders for homemakers on festivals like Holi and Diwali, easing financial burdens. The flagship Lakhpati Beti scheme promises to transform girls’ futures by fostering financial security and skills.
Progress is evident: The ‘My Identity, My Right’ initiative has disbursed over Rs 190 crore to more than 70,000 daughters, clearing long-pending dues. Enrollment in the Saheli Pink Smart Card has surged past 5 lakh women, unlocking benefits. Additionally, 1.3 lakh schoolgirls now pedal free bicycles, promoting education and autonomy.
Innovative steps like CCTV surveillance, women-only markets at Rani Haat, eco-friendly e-autos, and sanitary napkin dispensers are enhancing safety, accessibility, and dignity. Gupta assured that these efforts mark only the start, with grander initiatives on the horizon to celebrate and uplift women’s power in the capital.
Fresh from her pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi, the CM prayed for national advancement under PM Modi’s guidance. She thanked BJP’s women activists for their heartfelt reception in Jammu and Katra, invoking blessings from the divine mother for prosperity and joy for all devotees.
