In a display of maturity beyond his years, Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan smashed a brilliant hundred against RCB, setting the stage for GT’s IPL campaign. Speaking before facing CSK at Chepauk, the opener revealed his mindset for opener’s role in the fast-paced T20 format.
‘With Shubman, we’re playing percentage cricket to build a strong foundation,’ Sudharsan explained. ‘By overs 14-15, we want our partners walking in on a highway.’
He delved into T20’s transformation: ‘The game keeps evolving, so batsmen must too. I’m always geared up for whatever the pitch or situation throws. Conditions dictate my game, not arbitrary strike rates.’
