Bihar’s crackdown on criminals intensified with a dramatic dawn raid in Nawada’s Roh police station limits. Tinku Yadav, a notorious figure with a 50,000-rupee price on his head, sustained gunshot wounds in a police exchange and was taken into custody, disrupting his latest nefarious plans.

The operation kicked off when Roh station received credible information about Yadav’s presence in Koshi village, poised for a serious offense. Under directives from top brass, a police contingent, bolstered by teams from adjacent stations, descended on the village. Spotting the approaching lawmen, Yadav and another youth on bikes bolted roughly a kilometer before the target spot.

As police gave chase, the lead biker unleashed gunfire, forcing officers to retaliate with precise shots in self-defense. One bullet hit Yadav’s left leg, halting his flight. His partner slipped away in the confusion, leaving Yadav to face capture.

SP Abhinav Dhiman revealed that the detainee identified himself as Tinku Yadav from Jamui’s Navadih. Medical aid was promptly provided at a nearby facility. Yadav stands accused of the gruesome killing of local Ashok Mistri—throat slashed and body incinerated—in Roh jurisdiction.

Police had been hunting him relentlessly, culminating in the reward declaration due to his fugitive status. Additional charges dot Jamui’s police records against him. This bust not only removes a dangerous element from the streets but also highlights effective intelligence-driven policing in Bihar, with ongoing efforts to nab the runaway suspect and dismantle related gangs.
