Grain and oil crop bases stood firm. Winter wheat fields displayed healthy progress, rapeseed planting areas stabilized with quality growth, and spring crops advanced with more than one-fifth of sowing completed. This groundwork promises food self-sufficiency amid global uncertainties.
The ‘kitchen basket’ staples flowed steadily. Total meat output climbed to 26.62 million tons—a 4.8% increase—encompassing pork, beef, mutton, and poultry. Milk production hit 9.22 million tons (up 3.4%), fisheries yielded 15.47 million tons (4.3% growth), and veggies-fruits markets held firm, shielding consumers from price volatility.
Anti-poverty measures yielded results through consistent aid. Employment schemes and 10.13 billion yuan in loans supported vulnerable households, maintaining income stability. Agro-food processing exceeded goals with 6.8% value-add growth; e-commerce sales of farm goods boomed, and rural enterprises thrived.
Residents’ disposable income per head rose 5.4% actually. Primary sector investments soared 15.9%, driving elite farmland builds and tech upgrades in farming facilities. Rural retail for consumer items grew 3.1%, expanding market reach and invigorating local economies. China’s rural narrative is one of momentum, innovation, and inclusive growth.
