Upendra Kushwaha: Bihar Trust Vote Just a Formality for NDA

The political heat in Bihar intensifies ahead of Friday’s floor test for Samrat Choudhary’s freshly minted administration. Key allies are projecting unshakeable confidence, with Rashtriya Lok Morcha leader Upendra Kushwaha leading the chorus.

‘Numbers are firmly on our side—there’s no room for doubt,’ Kushwaha declared. He framed the trust vote as an obligatory ritual in parliamentary democracy, essential despite the lopsided majority.

Venturing beyond Bihar, Kushwaha targeted Mamata Banerjee’s demeanor in West Bengal, linking her anger to Modi’s rising stature influencing polls. Voter patterns in recent phases bear this out vividly.

High turnout in the first rounds of West Bengal and Tamil Nadu elections drew praise from Kushwaha. Over 90% in select Bengal pockets and record female participation in Tamil Nadu affirm the electoral process’s integrity. ‘The public has silenced naysayers of the Election Commission through their ballots,’ he added.

JD(U)’s Rajiv Ranjan reinforced the narrative, assuring a clear mandate for the NDA in the assembly. Choudhary’s team expects a smooth victory.

Ranjan also weighed in on Trump’s contentious India comments, commending India’s strong response. The US President’s pattern of offensive rhetoric has bred domestic discontent, prompting embassy clarifications emphasizing bilateral friendship. This could escalate international criticism, he opined.

Bihar’s floor test transcends a procedural hurdle; it signals the NDA’s stability and sets the tone for policy execution. Stakeholders await confirmation of this dominant position.
