In a glowing tribute, Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi saluted civilian staff for their pivotal role in Operation Sindoor’s triumph. At Thursday’s Navy Civilian Sammelan 2026 in New Delhi, he revealed their unwavering support in logistics and tech domains during critical deployments, alongside orchestrating grand naval spectacles such as the International Fleet Review and Milan.

Chief guest Defence State Minister Sanjay Seth commended the vibrant cultural shows and expressed national pride in the armed forces’ decisive retaliation to the Pahalgam incident, vowing no repeat offenses. Terming civilians the ‘foundation stone’ of the Navy, Seth highlighted their dedication as key to a reliable, tech-savvy maritime force.

Exemplary civilians from various commands received cash awards from Seth, recognizing innovation and duty. The minister inaugurated transformative platforms like iGOT Karmayogi, Saksham (NCMIS 2.0), Navkalp initiative, and Defence Travel System, enabling seamless cashless journeys for official travel.

The release of ‘Udantika’s 9th edition spotlighted successes, innovations, and knowledge-sharing efforts. Navy Chief invoked PM Modi’s mantra that human resources embody national strength, positioning civilians as vital ‘force multipliers’ who elevate the Navy’s operational edge with modern systems and relentless commitment.

This sammelan not only celebrated individual feats but reinforced the synergy between military and civilian arms, propelling India’s naval ambitions forward.
