The West Bengal assembly polls have sparked a barrage of campaign fervor from all major parties. Amid this, JDU’s vocal spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan predicts a grim future for TMC’s return to governance.

Speaking to IANS in Patna, Ranjan rebuked Mamata Banerjee’s jibes at PM Modi as signs of her frustration. He praised Modi’s grassroots appeal: rising from a chaiwala to India’s leader demonstrates his empathy for everyday Indians. ‘Modi’s shop visits and down-to-earth demeanor restore faith in governance among common folk,’ he noted, accusing TMC of grasping at straws knowing their ouster is imminent.

On actor Prakash Raj’s offensive comments, Ranjan backed FIR demands. ‘While talented on screen, Raj misreads India’s diverse reverence for Lord Ram, who transcends Hinduism. Such statements wound national sentiments, warranting police action.’

Fellow JDU leader Neeraj Kumar slammed Mamata for dismissing Modi’s relatable habits—like snacking on bhujia or roadside stops—as mere stunts. ‘TMC’s loose talk exposes their anxiety,’ he said.

Kumar didn’t spare RJD, pointing to Tejaswi Yadav’s frequent paternal visits amid party familial dominance. ‘With family members monopolizing leadership, RJD reeks of infighting. Tejaswi’s split prediction signals deep internal rifts.’

These pointed critiques from JDU leaders highlight the escalating war of words, as Bengal’s electoral landscape braces for turbulence.
