At the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, AAP parliamentarian Raghav Chadha painted a bold vision of India’s ascent in the AI landscape. Speaking on Monday, he proclaimed that the summit has indelibly positioned India as a key player in global conversations around AI regulation, innovation, and societal benefits.
‘AI is no longer just tech—it’s strategy,’ Chadha stated categorically. Nations boasting superior computational might and foundational infrastructure are poised to lead, he predicted, with processing power emerging as the new currency of power.
Chadha dissected the AI ecosystem’s vulnerabilities, noting three dominant monopolies: control over design by a handful of firms, production hubs in limited geographies, and barriers like US export controls. India, he admitted, has yet to master these domains.
Yet, the MP exuded optimism about India’s demographic dividend in talent. Global tech giants and startups alike are scouting Indian brains for AI expertise, but Chadha stressed the need for more: top-tier compute access, supply chain resilience, and homegrown infrastructure.
Evoking history, he likened the shift to AI and chips as akin to the oil-steel era that forged 20th-century empires. ‘India must act now to claim its 21st-century throne,’ he implored. The summit, in his view, is the clarion call for such strategic imperatives, propelling India toward AI supremacy.
