Apple's Revenue Surges in India, Driven by Strong iPhone Sales

Apple has achieved a remarkable milestone in India, with annual sales reaching approximately $9 billion (around 80,000 crore rupees) in the fiscal year 2025. The company's premium devices, particularly the iPhone, have been highly popular among consumers. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple's revenue increased by 13% by March 2025, up from $8 billion the previous year, with iPhone sales contributing significantly to this growth. IDC's data indicates that Apple shipped 5.9 million units in the first half of 2025, a 21.5% increase compared to the previous year, with the iPhone 16 being the best-selling model. The overall smartphone market in India saw a shipment of 70 million units, demonstrating a 7.3% growth in the second quarter.
