  • Road construction will ease traffic: Minister Dr. Dahria

    Urban Administration Minister and MLA of Arang Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Shivkumar Dahria performed bhumi pujan of 7 new routes in the area. Under the Chief Minister Sugam Road Scheme approved by the Public Works Department, the completion of these roads, constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 20 lakh, will ease the traffic. Minister Dr. Dahria performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the Chief Minister’s Sugam Road Scheme at Mandir Hasaud, Bahnakadi, Badgaon, Gori, Bhansoj, Sakri, and Village Akolikhurd.

    On this occasion, he said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, development works are being given momentum in the state. Approval has been given to connect all government buildings in the state with the main road. Under the Chief Minister Sugam Road Scheme in Arang area, the road will be constructed by the Public Works Department from the Government Building to the main road. This will make it easier for everyone, including school students, to travel. He said that development of villages along with the city is in the priority of his government. In every village of the state, work is going on to provide water in every household through the tap-water scheme. He said that the government is constantly working in the interest of the village, poor and farmers and laborers. The area will be taken further in the path of development by creating a new Nagar Panchayat. Therefore, the temples of the Arang region, Hasaud, Samoda and Chandkhuri have been made a Nagar Panchayat.

  • Traffic public awareness program organized in Century Cement Baikunth and Raipura

    As per the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Yadav, the Road Safety Public Awareness Program was organized at Century Cement Baikunth under Thana Nevra in the district Day 1621 of National Road Safety Month 2021 run by Traffic Police Raipur. In organizing traffic public awareness program in Century Cement Baikunth established under Thana Nevara Tilda Additional Superintendent of Police Traffic MR Mandavi Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic Satish Thakur, Station In-charge Nevra Tilda Sharad Chandra, Safety In-charge of Century Cement Baikunth, Principal of Century Cement School and Other officer-employees attended.

    In the said public awareness program, the officer-employees on traffic were given detailed information in relation to the 34 sections of the Traffic Motor Vehicles Act and the traffic signals on the traffic. Also, an appeal was made to operate the vehicle following the rules. On this occasion, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Raipur, Satish Kumar Thakur, while presenting the vehicle detailing the adverse impact on the entire family in case of death in road accidents, while telling the employees the value of each person’s life. And the people of his family were also motivated to follow the rules.

  • Special DG RK Vij imposed class of Superintendents of Police, emphasis on strengthening traffic management

    Special DG RK Vij held a virtual review meeting of the superintendents of police and officers of all districts regarding traffic management and road safety. Additional Transport Commissioner Dipanshu Kabra directed the overloading to take effective enforcement action by mutual coordination with Transport, Police and other departments. Guidelines were given to make the driving license suspension process more effective. RK Vij coordinated with the concerned departments for selection of ‘Self-Service Institution’ for road safety and traffic awareness, joint inspection of serious road accident, accidents due to random vehicles standing in the road, black spot / gray spot Instructed to take action as soon as possible. In the absence of positive initiative from the concerned department for improvement of gray / black spots, the State / Central Government was directed to write a letter. In Raipur, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Bemetara, Mungeli, Dantewada, Sukma, Narayanpur and Bijapur, the death rate of road accident has increased compared to last year. Last year, 350 accident sites were jointly inspected in the state, action was taken under the 5052 Motor Vehicles Act with speed radar guns and 1337 cases of Alcometers under Motor Vehicles Act. On taking less action from the speedradar gun, the district Balodabazar, Bemetara, Gariaband, Kabirdham, Balrampur expressed unhappiness and directed to speed up the action.
