Some users have already started posting full-length articles written by them on X, as Musk tries to compete with traditional media giants.

“I just published my first X Article! Thank you @elonmusk for creating a platform for citizen journalism,” said a user. Musk replied: “Publish full-length, complex articles on X!” Another user commented: “Great idea! Engaging content on X will attract more readers.”

Last September, the tech billionaire visited the US-Mexico border and live-streamed his tour of the region. Musk then encouraged people to do citizen journalism on X. “Please encourage more citizen journalism! You can do live video easily from your phone.

  • Tolkien is turning in his grave: Elon Musk criticizes Amazon’s ‘The Rings Of Power’ show

    By ANI

WASHINGTON: Tesla CEO Elon Musk has criticized Amazon’s big-budget fantasy drama series ‘The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power’, stating that the late author J.R.R. Tolkien is “turning in his grave.”

According to Variety, Musk took to his official Twitter handle and slammed the show with a pair of short tweets which included the above statement.

His second tweet read, “Almost every male character so far is a coward, a jerk or both. Only Galadriel is brave, smart and nice.”

Galadriel, played by Welsh actor Morfydd Clark, is a warrior elf and the lead of the series set thousands of years before the events of ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’.

Clark has herself been the target of criticism from online trolls, with complaints generally claiming the regal nature of the character in the original JRR Tolkien novels and Peter Jackson films has been replaced by an all-action warrior elf queen.

It is worth noting that Musk, who’s currently tangled in a web trying to exit his proposed USD 44BN takeover of social site Twitter, has a long-running feud and rivalry with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, that has intensified as Musk’s SpaceX and Bezos’ Blue Origin compete directly.

The enmity between the world’s two richest people has seen the Tesla CEO habitually troll or shitpost against Bezos and his companies.

So far ‘Rings of Power’, directed by JA Bayona, Wayne Che Yip and Charlotte Brandstrom, has been a huge success for Amazon, scoring 25 million viewers for the first two episodes, Prime Video’s top premiere ever, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

The eight-episode first season will run until October 14. According to Variety, the second season of ‘The Rings of Power’ is already in the works as part of Amazon’s five-season agreement with the Tolkien estate.

LOS ANGELES: Billionaire Elon Musk and singer Grimes have parted ways after three years of relationship.

Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, shared the news with Page Six, saying that he and Grimes are “semi-separate.”

“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms,” Musk, who shares one-year-old son X Æ A-Xii with the Canadian singer, said.

“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or travelling overseas, and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room,” he added.

Musk, 50, and Grimes, 33, were first romantically linked in May 2018, when they made their public debut at the Met Gala following his split from actor Amber Heard.

  • Elon Musk, Grimes party with Miley Cyrus at crypto-themed ‘SNL’ bash

    By ANI
WASHINGTON: Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk had a gala time at ‘Saturday Night Live’ afterparty following Musk’s controversial hosting gig on the show.

According to Page Six, entrepreneur Ian Schrager opened up his downtown party hotel ‘Public’ for the first time in 14 months to fete Musk and his guests, including girlfriend Grimes and the ‘SNL’ episode’s musical act, Miley Cyrus.

A spy told the outlet, “It was a cryptocurrency-themed bash for Elon. Ian opened it just for Elon and his guests. Girls were dressed as aliens, walking around with trays of Dogecoin cookies and cupcakes, and there were Dogecoin ice sculptures.”

Dogecoin, featuring a much-memed Shiba Inu dog as its mascot, is Musk’s favourite cryptocurrency, which he referenced several times throughout the night as he hosted.

“A dog handler also brought a live puppy version of the mascot and walked it around the party. It was like a good-luck token,” the source said.

During the themed party, the 33-year-old singer Grimes and Musk spent much of the night dancing to techno with Cyrus, who was there with her crew and hanging out with The Kid Laroi, Keegan and producer KBeaZy.

“Everyone was in a great mood, dancing. Miley was obsessing over the escalators [at the venue] and a yellow pool table. She said she wanted one of those at home,” the source said.

Page Six reported that Lorne Michaels, Chris Rock, Colin Jost and Matt Stone of ‘South Park’ were also there.

Meanwhile, the business magnate is pledging to take Dogecoin to the moon, making it the “first crypto in space.”

On Sunday, he tweeted: “SpaceX launching satellite Doge-1 to the moon next year.”
