  • Gauthan will be the basis for the empowerment of Self Help Groups – Collector Shri Dhawade

    The Gauthans built in the Gram Panchayats under the Suraji Gram Yojana are becoming ideal places for the empowerment of the women of that village. Every effort is being made to strengthen it further. Collector Shyam Dhawade, along with District Panchayat CEO, Kunal Dudawat, visited village Ghughra of Sonhat development block to inspect the Gothan built under the ambitious scheme Suraji Gram Yojana of Panchayat Rural Development Department. While inspecting the Gauthan and Multiutility Center located in Ghughra, he interacted with the women of the Women Self Help Groups and inquired about their business in detail. Before this, he also inspected the site by climbing the tower of the Forest Department in Paharpara.
    During Sonhat excursion, Collector Dhawade inspected the Gauthan located at Ghughra. Here he took information from the women of the group working in the multiutility center about their livelihood, economic benefits and the families of the women of the group. During this, the nodal officers of Gothan were also present along with the representatives of the Gram Panchayat. Here the women making fly ash from machines told that till now they have sold 70 thousand bricks. 3 per int is being sold at the rate of Rs. After this, he took information about the demand and sale of the product from the self-help group manufacturing slippers.
    Sudeshwari, a member of the group, said that in the weekly haat market held in nearby gram panchayats, sales of 400 to 500 rupees are done. Collector Mr. Dhawade, encouraging the women of the group, asked the price of a pair of slippers and also paid its cash price to Sudeshwari by purchasing a pair of slippers of his own size. He said that the women of the group should work with full heart, all possible help would be given to make them financially capable. After this, Collector Mr. Dhawade talked to the women doing vermi filtering in Gothan. He also inspected the pasture adjoining Gauthan and inquired about the Napier Grass planted and its total production and sale. Talking to the local people about the availability of water in the pond near the Gauthan complex, he said that now after the treatment is done, it will have water throughout the year. During this, local public representatives and government officials were present along with the villagers.

  • Multi-utility center built in Gothans becoming a means of livelihood for self-help groups

    Under the ambitious Gudhan Nyay Yojana of the state government, to make Gowthans self-reliant, cow dung is being developed as Adarsh ​​Gauthan by preparing vermi compost and other products through self-help groups and increasing the source of self-earned income. In this series, multi-utility centers are being set up in Gauthans of Korea district, which are getting all-round appreciation. It is noteworthy that a letter has been issued by the Agriculture Department of the state government, instructing to construct a multi-utility center on the lines of Korea district in Gauthanas across the state. Efforts are being made by the district administration to make Gowthans self-supporting by conducting various activities related to livelihood of self-help groups through the Multi-utility Center.

    Fly ash brick, facing pole, four link facing and paver block tiles etc. are being constructed by the women in the multi-utility center at Gauthan in village Ghughra and Pusla under Sonhat development block. These works are being done by women themselves and after that they are also understanding marketing skills for the sale of manufactured goods. Through this, women are not only becoming financially capable but also developing business sense in them. Thus, the Gothan of Korea district are becoming a means of livelihood for women.
    The Multi-Utility Center, built at Gauthan in Village Ghughra and Pusla under Sonhat development block of Korea district, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel during his visit to Korea on 11 December. The Chief Minister not only praised the Multutility Center of Korea district but also encouraged other districts to take similar initiatives. In this center, economic activities like fly s, brick making, paver block, sandal making, agricultural equipment center, biological medicine center, rice mill, e-rickshaw are being run by 17 women self help groups. The Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious Suraji Village and Godhan Nyaya Yojana is being jointly written for the development and progress of villages.

  • Chief Minister observed the works of self-help groups in Manganar Gowthan

    Bhupesh Baghel visited Manganar Gauthan in Bakavand development block of Bastar district today. They observed various livelihood activities conducted by self-help groups there and sought information from women about their work. The Chief Minister reviewed the community fence, mushroom production unit, nursery, vermicompost production, West decompost production unit, cow dung pot and diya construction, earthworm manure, beekeeping, fisheries and poultry farming activities in Gauthan. He performed Govardhan Puja in Gauthan and also had lunch with women of self-help groups there. On arrival at Manganar Gowthan, the Chief Minister was greeted with a traditional Gedi dance and a turban.

    . Baghel took information from public representatives, women of self-help groups and villagers present in Gauthan for implementation of various schemes and programs of state government. He asked about Universal Public Distribution System (PDS), 50 percent rebate in electricity bill, distribution of forest rights, purchase and payment of paddy on support price, cow dung and construction and operation of villages in villages. He told during the discussion with the local farmers that in the coming time the state government will also purchase kodo-kutki at the support price. The Chief Minister said that during the period of lockdown, there is good procurement of forest produce. Various types of self-employment by women in the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyaya Yojana and Gowthan have strengthened the rural economy.

    Addressing the people in Manganar Gauthan, President of Bastar Region Tribal Development Authority, Mr. Lakeshwar Baghel said that many new initiatives have been taken by the government to increase the income of villagers and economic empowerment of villages. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to buy cow dung from farmers and livestock farmers. Large-scale individual and collective forest rights leases have been distributed to increase people’s income in forest areas. Bastar MP Shri Deepak Badge said in his address that Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is visiting the representatives of different societies continuously after visiting the problems of different areas. During this time, he is also offering many development works. He said that the development of entire Bastar will take place only with the development of each poor and tribal family of Bastar. To increase the income of tendupatta collecting families, the government has increased the collection rate per standard bag from Rs. 2.5 thousand to Rs. Four thousand. Innovative steps like returning land of farmers in Lohandiguda have also been taken in the interest of local people.

  • The women of Dantewada proved that they are no less than men, in manufacturing cement pole

    Women are proving that they too can gain by interfering in male dominated occupations. Outlining the innovative initiative of District Administration Dantewada, women of self-help groups tried their hand in the construction of cement poles and they are succeeding. Through the National Rural Azivika Mission, women of 7 women self-help groups of the district are now constructing cement poles and earning substantial profits. It is noteworthy that the construction work of Devguri and Gothan is going on in all the panchayats of the district, cement poles are required for Chahar Diwari in these Devgudis and Gothans. Now, for this fencing work, instead of purchasing cement pole from outside, the women self-help groups of the panchayats are being purchased.

    For the construction of cement poles, 7 women self-help groups have been selected from the four development blocks of the district through the National Rural Livelihood Mission. They have been trained with the help of Engineers of Rural Engineering Department. These women self-help groups have been engaged in the construction of cement poles as per the norms set under the supervision of engineers. From these groups 1 pole is purchased for 300 rupees. If there is a need of cement polling in government functions in panchayats, then according to the need, these groups are ordered so that cement poles can be available on time.
