  • PM Modi to inaugurate 1st-ever driverless train on Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line on Dec 28

     Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India’s first-ever driverless train operations on Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line (Janakpuri West – Botanical Garden) along with the fully operational National Common Mobility Card service on the Airport Express Line on 28th December 2020 at 11 AM via video conferencing.

    These innovations will herald a new era of travelling comfort and enhanced mobility. The driverless trains will be fully automated, which will eliminate the possibility of human error. After the start of driverless services on the Magenta Line, the Pink Line of Delhi Metro is expected to have driverless operations by the mid of 2021.

    The National Common Mobility Card, which will be fully operationalised on the Airport Express Line, will enable anyone carrying a RuPay-Debit Card issued from any part of the country to travel on the Airport Express Line using that card. This facility will become available on the entire Delhi Metro network by 2022.

  • Trump Spends Christmas Eve Golfing After Claiming To Work ‘tirelessly’ For COVID-19 Relief

    While the country is still roled with the pandemic and the crucial COVID-19 relief bill is left in disarray, US President Donald Trump was spotted at his golf club in West Palm Beach on December 24. As per reports, just after Trump claimed to have been “working tirelessly for the American people” with a jam-packed schedule of “many meetings and calls”, the US President decided to spend his Christmas Eve golfing in Florida. 

    However, in Washington, a Democratic proposal to elevate the direct payments to US citizens under the relief bill from $600 to $2,000 was blocked on Trump’s demand that was expressed in a surprise video address on Tuesday night. But, as per reports, it was dismissed by Republicans who opposed the higher spending throughout stimulus talks amid the global health crisis. 

    If the relief bill ultimately fails, millions of Americans will be left without the much-required relief at least until the President-elect Joe Biden takes the office after inauguration day on January 20, 2021. As of now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said that the Democrats would try again on December 28.

  • US Opens Virtual Mission In Disputed Western Sahara In Line With Trump’s Proclamation

    The United States government has announced the opening of a “virtual post” in Western Sahara ahead of a fully functioning consulate, the State Department said on Thursday. The opening of the virtual diplomatic mission in the region is in line with US President Donald Trump’s proclamation on recognising the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over Western Sahara. 

    The State Department informed that the virtual post will be managed by the US Embassy in Rabat, Morocco until a fully functioning consulate is established in the region. POLISARIO is a Sahrawi rebel national liberation movement aiming to end Morocco’s presence in Western Sahara. Even though the party has been banned in parts of Western Sahara currently under the control of Moroccans, the United Nations recognises the movement as the legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people. 

  • CM Rupani inaugurates ‘Big Banks of Small People’ for monetary aid to small businesses

    Gujarat Chief Minster Vijay Rupani today virtually inaugurated 15 branches of Jana Small Finance Bank of Gujarat from Gandhinagar. Self-employed people will be able to contribute in realizing the dream goal set by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making India a five trillion-dollar economy by getting loan from such banks.

    Rupani said that bank which gives small amount loans to individuals associated with small business without IT return, mortgage or GST number is the need of the hour. It is necessary that such credit reaches to such small business owners to make the country’s economy a five trillion-dollar economy.

    The Chief Minister suggested that the Jan Small Finance Bank, functioning as the largest bank for such small business owners in the state, to cooperate in the schemes of the state government in providing financial assistance to the common man.

    In this regard, CM expressed his expectation of the bank’s cooperation in providing financial assistance to women’s groups under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana.

  • PM Modi, Sheikh Hasina to hold virtual summit to inaugurate major projects including railroad today

  • Chief Minister inaugurated the state’s first ‘Godan Emporium’ in Ambikapur

    Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the first Godhan Emporium of the state at District Headquarters Ambikapur during his stay in Surguja district today. In this emporium, various products being manufactured by women groups will be sold from cow dung purchased in Gothan under the Godan Nyaya Yojana.
    The cow dung, including wood, brick, diyas, incense sticks, incense sticks, toys, ornamental items made by women groups from cow dung will be available for sale in Godhan Emporium. Ghanjivamrit is being prepared by women by mixing other natural products with cow dung and gram flour. Its use increases fertility of the land.

  • PM to deliver inaugural address at FICCI’s 93rd AGM, annual convention today

  • PM Modi will address India Mobile Congress today, many countries will be involved
