To this day, World Radio Day is celebrated every year. So that radio can be recognized as a method to teach individuals, transport data and promote opportunity for expression in global cultures. Over time, radio has also changed its form a lot. In earlier times, when mobile and TV were not available, radio was the medium of information, communication and songs. UNESCO first started celebrating Radio Day globally. A special ceremony is organized on the occasion at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The first World Radio Day was formally observed on 13 February 2012.
