Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a special family invitation from legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar for the wedding of his son, Arjun Tendulkar, to Sania Chandok. The Tuesday meeting in New Delhi highlighted the warmth between sports icons and national leaders, with Tendulkar sharing the details on X.
Posting pictures with PM Modi, Sachin noted the joy of inviting him to the nuptials. ‘We were delighted to invite PM Narendra Modi to Arjun and Sania’s wedding. He offered blessings and wise counsel to the couple – grateful for his kindness,’ he captioned. The entire Tendulkar family, including Anjali, Sara, Arjun, and Sania, joined in the courtesy visit.
Arjun, known for his left-arm pace bowling, got engaged to Sania last August. She hails from an influential Mumbai business family with roots in hospitality. As director of a pet spa business, Sania represents the next generation of the Ghai empire, which includes luxury hotels and premium ice creams.
On the cricket field, Arjun shines as a left-handed all-rounder for Goa. His domestic stats boast 48 first-class wickets alongside 620 runs, and in List A cricket, 25 wickets with 155 runs. IPL fans recall his 2023 debut for MI, where he secured 3 wickets in limited outings. With LSG acquiring him, expectations are high for his IPL 2026 performance.
As India celebrates its cricket heroes’ personal joys, this invitation symbolizes enduring bonds across spheres, promising a star-studded wedding ahead.
