India’s World Cup-winning captain, Kapil Dev, has voiced his opinion that Ravindra Jadeja is a superior all-rounder compared to England’s captain, Ben Stokes. Dev’s assessment came after Stokes achieved a milestone of 7000 Test runs, marked by a notable six during the Manchester Test. Stokes, in his Test career, has accumulated 7,032 runs in 115 matches, averaging 35.69 with 14 centuries and 35 half-centuries. He also became only the third all-rounder in Test history, joining Sir Garfield Sobers and Jacques Kallis, to achieve the double of 7000 runs and 200 wickets. In the recent Test, Stokes scored 141 runs off 198 balls, while Jadeja contributed with 4/143 in the first innings as India’s leading bowler. Jadeja has a total of 347 runs in the series so far, averaging 86.75, and has secured four half-centuries. In the longest format, Jadeja boasts 3,697 runs in 83 Tests with four centuries and 26 fifties, along with 326 wickets.
