Congress MP Pappu Yadav has intensified calls for justice in the tragic death of a NEET student at a Patna girls’ hostel, branding it a heinous murder plot. During his Tuesday inspection of the premises, he exposed glaring lapses that point to deliberate suppression of facts.
Speaking candidly, Yadav highlighted the unregistered status of the hostel and the lack of action against its management. ‘Attempts were made from day one to bury the murder as suicide,’ he charged. Key questions poured out: Why ignore PMCH’s post-mortem? Why no arrests for the operator? And crucially, why were CCTV footages disabled?
Demanding the operator’s jailing and a high-level probe, Yadav announced legal moves including a High Court petition for CBI intervention. He linked the outrage to national politics, supporting Rahul Gandhi’s critique of BJP-RSS tactics to muzzle dissent via enforcement agencies.
‘Mamata Banerjee gave them a fitting reply—like for like,’ Yadav noted, urging recognition of leaders walking in the footsteps of Gandhi and Bose. As public anger simmers over women’s safety in educational hostels, Yadav’s activism underscores the urgent need for accountability in Bihar’s volatile landscape.
This unfolding saga serves as a stark reminder of vulnerabilities faced by aspiring students far from home.
