In a vibrant display of Bihar’s cultural splendor, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha attended the prestigious Kiul Mahotsav in Lakhisarai on Saturday. The event, he declared, stands as a vital force in cherishing cultural heritage, spotlighting folk artists, and celebrating local pride.
Sinha’s speech captivated the audience as he marveled at the festival’s portrayal of the district’s artistic traditions and customs. He described it as an ’empowering tool’ for preserving Bihar’s cultural treasures while fostering tourism and economic progress in the area. ‘Events like these breathe new life into our arts, drawing visitors and spurring development,’ the Deputy CM said, bowing to Lakhisarai’s cultural eminence.
Shifting focus, Sinha called on the public to engage with PM Modi’s upcoming ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday. ‘Connect with the Prime Minister’s insights, draw inspiration, and actively contribute to shaping a resurgent India,’ he encouraged.
Recounting his experience at the ‘Litti with Majhi’ session, Sinha relished the authentic taste of litti-chokha, terming it a joyful link to Bihar’s culinary and cultural roots. ‘Our traditions, tastes, and self-respect form the core of Bihar’s identity,’ he asserted.
Sinha praised CM Nitish Kumar’s proactive governance during the Vaishali leg of the Samriddhi Yatra. The Chief Minister conducted on-site reviews, held progress assessments, launched key infrastructure projects totaling over Rs 150 crore, and directly communicated welfare schemes to residents. This double-engine synergy promises accelerated, equitable growth throughout Bihar.
