Patna: RJD national working president Tejashwi Yadav has slammed the Modi government for yet another round of fuel price increases, claiming that the common people will soon face crushing inflation. In a strongly worded post on social media, Yadav noted that petrol, diesel and CNG rates have been hiked three times in the past ten days alone. He highlighted the irony that crude oil prices today are lower than they were in 2014, yet domestic fuel prices have more than doubled. The latest revision, he said, is driven by global crude volatility and tensions in West Asia, but the burden is being passed entirely on to consumers. According to Yadav, the NDA government is more interested in headline management and communal polarisation than in finding solutions to unemployment and rising living costs. Yadav warned that the cascading effect of higher fuel prices will soon be visible in the transport and logistics sectors, leading to higher prices for vegetables, milk and other daily essentials. He also cautioned that small businesses and migrant workers will be hit hardest, with many likely to lose their livelihoods as operating costs climb.
