Supreme Court Acts on North India Floods and Heavy Rains, Issues Notices

The Supreme Court initiated suo motu cognizance of the devastating floods and heavy rainfall impacting several North Indian states. Affected regions include Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, along with areas of Delhi and Haryana. Notices have been dispatched to both the Central government and four affected states, with a three-week deadline for responses.
