In a bold rebuttal amid Maharashtra’s Shiv Sena factional tensions, Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced his ‘Operation Tiger’ never sleeps—running 365 days with full transparency. ‘No clandestine huddles here,’ he told journalists Friday.
He recounted meetings with Shiv Sena (UBT) MLAs during sessions. ‘My role demands addressing every grievance,’ Sarnaik explained. Those embracing late Balasaheb Thackeray or Eknath Shinde’s vision? ‘Join us openly; doors are wide ajar.’
On the Chandaivli EVM probe ordered by court, he pledged adherence: ‘Judicial directives are binding; let the probe unfold.’
Hailing the national cashless toll initiative under Nitin Gadkari, Sarnaik said, ‘It’s key to ending toll backups. State mechanisms are in sync.’
Defending the Marathi language mandate for permits, he insisted, ‘Business in Maharashtra? Master Marathi fully. Enforced since 2019 for all, from auto drivers up.’
Turning to Kunal Kamra’s Assembly affront, Sarnaik deferred to the speaker’s panel: ‘He’s giving his side. Refusal to own up means Shiv Sena retribution.’
Metro-10 got a boost with CM Fadnavis and Shinde inaugurating Dahisar-Kashigaon stretch. ‘Integration with Metro-9 and 4 ramps up immediately,’ the minister updated.
Sarnaik’s candid remarks signal a push for ideological clarity, smooth traffic flows, and linguistic pride, shaping Maharashtra’s political and civic narrative.
