RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Turns 75, Completes 16 Years as Sangh President

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat turned 75 on Thursday. He has been guiding the RSS for the past 16 years. Mohan Bhagwat was born on September 11, 1950, in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. He is the third longest-serving Sarsanghchalak of the RSS. Bhagwat began his public life as a pracharak in the RSS nearly five decades ago. He was appointed as the Sarsanghchalak of the Sangh in March 2009. His father, Madhukarrao Bhagwat, was also a dedicated pracharak of the RSS.
