A shocking incident has rattled Ferozepur, Punjab, where a 32-year-old shopkeeper, Naveen Arora, was fatally shot by two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle. The brazen attack occurred on Saturday evening as Arora was walking home from his shop near Dr Sadhu Chand Chowk. According to eyewitness accounts and police reports, the two suspects approached Arora on their bike, fired at him at close range, and then swiftly escaped the scene, leaving the community in shock.
Arora was immediately transported to a local private hospital in a critical condition. Tragically, medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the assailants are still at large. Police have launched a full-scale investigation into the matter.
Senior police officials, including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bhupinder Singh, visited the crime scene to gather evidence and assess the situation. The SSP stated that the police are actively reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the perpetrators. He assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken and that the culprits will be apprehended and brought to justice swiftly. Teams have been deployed, and multiple officers are dedicated to solving this case. The local MLA, Ranbir Singh Bhullar, also met with the victim’s grieving family, offering condolences and promising swift action against those responsible for this heinous crime.
