In a pre-counting burst of optimism, BJP leaders in West Bengal are forecasting a resounding victory, poised to install a government with full majority. Candidate Agnimitra Paul from Asansol South painted a vivid picture: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stewardship heralds a ‘new sunrise’ for the state long stifled by decades of mismanagement.
‘Bengal’s electorate has spoken through their principles and support. We’re heading for a two-thirds majority,’ Paul proclaimed to reporters. She highlighted how 50 years of rule by other parties had regressed the state, positioning Modi’s leadership as the catalyst for revival.
Security was tight at counting centers, a point Paul appreciated while commending the Election Commission’s impartial handling of the entire process.
Dilip Ghosh, running in Kharagpur Sadar, dismissed the elections as mere formality, expecting results to outshine survey predictions. ‘The trend is unmistakable; final tallies will amaze,’ he said.
Shantipur hopeful Swapan Das doubled down, vowing absolute triumph. The rhetoric sharpened with MP Jyotirmay Singh Mahato’s attack on TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee, likening his self-importance to a delusional insect and urging him to stay put after the verdict.
With all eyes on the vote tallies, BJP’s leaders are not just claiming victory—they’re scripting a narrative of Bengal’s political renaissance.
