National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has broadened its product range. The company has launched the IA90 Grade Aluminium Alloy Ingot, specifically tailored for the automotive industry. Shri Sadashiv Samantaray, Director (Commercial), NALCO, oversaw the launch at the Company’s Smelter and Power Complex in Angul. The IA90 grade alloy is designed for superior strength, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for crucial automotive applications. Its robust strength and excellent castability make it an excellent choice for manufacturing wheels, engine blocks, cylinder heads, and other structural components commonly used in the automotive sector. With the introduction of IA90, NALCO strengthens its position as a major player in the domestic aluminium sector, offering innovative solutions to meet evolving industrial needs.
