Senior Bharatiya Janata Party figure Siddharth Nath Singh unleashed a fierce counterattack on West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s provocative statements during an interview in Prayagraj on April 12. He claimed her intemperate words reflect her anxiety over eroding political ground.

‘Whenever Mamata Banerjee faces a crisis, she unleashes inappropriate remarks and shatters all boundaries of civility in her speech. It seems like a loss of mental composure,’ Singh observed to IANS.

He highlighted the overwhelming crowd, especially women, at PM Modi’s rally as a clear indicator of changing winds in Bengal. ‘Bengal’s voters are resolute: BJP will form the next government,’ he predicted.

On Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, Singh was scathing. ‘Gandhi doesn’t understand Congress ideology, let alone the vision of Constitution makers like Ambedkar. Congress’s Emergency era amendments for self-interest were the ultimate constitutional betrayal,’ he stated.

Singh lauded BJP’s landmark reforms under Modi, including scrapping Article 370 for national unity and the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam for women’s representation in legislatures.

Paying tribute to iconic vocalist Asha Bhosle, who passed away recently, Singh called her departure ‘heartbreaking.’ ‘Her unparalleled voice enriched Indian music forever. We pray for her soul’s peace and solace for her bereaved family and admirers,’ he expressed.
