Noida’s law enforcement scored a decisive victory against organized crime with the bust of a vehicle theft gang by Sector-24 police. Two perpetrators were apprehended based on precise intelligence, yielding 10 motorcycles, two scooters, and a pair of prohibited knives from their possession and hideouts.
Aniket alias Ankit, aged 24, and Ratan Singh alias Ravi, 23, hailing from Ghaziabad’s Khoda Colony, were picked up in Sector-11. Their confessions painted a picture of systematic thefts: reconnaissance in bustling locales, opportunistic grabs from Delhi-NCR spots, and concealment in Sector-54’s overgrown patches.
The duo would then sell the loot cheaply, armed with knives for protection, and divide earnings for lavish spending. Ankit’s criminal dossier lists 15 cases involving thefts, illegal arms, and liquor laws, while Ravi has a slew of grave offenses.
Among the seized items are premium bikes such as KTM, Hero Splendor, Honda Shine, TVS Apache, and Rider models, plus two scooters. Probe teams are delving deeper into their network, aiming to net additional members. This operation underscores Noida police’s commitment to curbing auto theft, promising safer roads for commuters.
