Madhya Pradesh’s police force made headlines with a massive yoga and meditation drive involving more than 50,000 members on the occasion of World Meditation Day. Sessions unfolded simultaneously at around 2,800 venues, marking a significant step in institutional wellness.
DGP Kailash Makwana emphasized how the day inspires mental tranquility and positivity. This push gained momentum after signing an MoU with Heartfulness Institute in February 2025, embedding these practices across police stations and units.
Given the relentless stress of round-the-clock duties, the program offers crucial mental respite. Positive outcomes include boosted vitality, better interpersonal conduct, fortified family ties, stress reduction, and inspiring stories of overcoming addictions.
Makwana called for consistent participation and objective impact assessments. He praised Daaji and the institute for delivering a game-changer for the force.
Kamlesh Patel elaborated on Heartfulness as distinct, harnessing prana to advance awareness. Life’s barrage of impressions clogs the mind, breeding tension. Through systematic cleaning, negativity fades, restoring clarity and poise.
He drew parallels to how external influences burden the psyche, advocating meditation for liberation. Shedding prejudices enables unbiased perspectives, bolstering emotional stability and diminishing undue stress.
