Amid heightened speculation about Nishant Kumar’s Rajya Sabha nomination, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) legislator Raju Tiwari has voiced strong support, stating that his entry into politics would be welcomed with open arms.
‘It’s their party’s call, but we’d be thrilled if Nishant joins active politics,’ Tiwari told reporters in Patna. Praising the young scion of CM Nitish Kumar, he noted, ‘Youth brings new energy. With his father’s legacy of development in Bihar, Nishant could be a game-changer.’
Tiwari lauded Nishant’s clean image, modern outlook, and devout nature, foreseeing substantial benefits for Bihar. He contrasted this with a jab at RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav: ‘Everyone knows Tejashwi’s capabilities from his assembly performance.’
Confident about NDA’s dominance, Tiwari declared, ‘All five Rajya Sabha seats are ours. No conflicts over Nishant—he’s untainted and destined for greatness. I hope he engages directly with the people.’
JD(U) cadres have long championed Nishant’s political involvement, displaying posters across the state. Yet, the Kumar duo has maintained silence so far.
Tiwari reiterated unwavering loyalty to NDA’s choices, underscoring the alliance’s strength ahead of the elections. This cross-party endorsement underscores shifting alliances and youth infusion in Bihar politics.
