In a tragic incident in the Khunti district of Jharkhand, two children have died after drowning in a pond. The incident occurred in the Rania police station area, specifically in the Baghiya RC Toli village. The victims, identified as 10-year-old Ashish Kerketta and 9-year-old Bilfred Marki, had gone to the pond to bathe on Sunday evening. When the children failed to return home, their families began searching, but were unable to find them. The following morning, a villager discovered the bodies in the pond and alerted the community. Police were informed and have taken possession of the bodies, which were sent for post-mortem examination at the Sadar Hospital in Khunti. The families are in deep mourning.
